Medical Requirements
A provided medical form must be completed in full, signed by an appropriate medical professional, and returned before you depart on The Journey 2 Purpose.
We require all participants to visit their physician and have a medical and physical exam prior to the race.
Cyclists may be disqualified at the discretion of the A2MIA Medical Team.
The medical form is used to help prepare the A2MIA Team in the event of an emergency.
The medical form is not a “seal of approval” for participation and any health concerns you may have need to be brought up with a physician.
The medical form will be accessed in the event you get injured/ill and you are unable to give medical staff your medical history.
You are required to carry on your person, any personal medication (ie. EpiPen, asthma puffers, diabetes meds, etc.) and inform the A2MIA Co-ordinator(s) of the whereabouts of this emergency medicine.
All participants must test negative for COVID at the start of the ride (and must be tested again throughout the ride, if symptoms arise).
As a participant in this ride, you may be subject to extreme weather conditions: temperatures ranging from low to very hot; and/or prolonged sunlight exposure.
We operate in remote locations with difficult or impossible access to medical care. You may be injured or ill on the race course without help for multiple hours or longer.
